Your practical social media launch plan for Source It Here

“Michelle, Source It Here needs suppliers who can respond to requests and buyers who know they can post what they need.

This plan shows you how to build both, starting with a focused audience and a manageable publishing routine.

You can follow the roadmap yourself. If you would prefer our team to manage the agreed setup, content, publishing and reporting, explore our implementation service.”

The approach

Start focused. Stay useful.

Start with one agreed launch area and a small number of priority categories. Help relevant suppliers create useful profiles, then encourage buyers to post requests those suppliers can fulfil.

A smaller audience receiving useful responses is more valuable than a large audience finding little relevant activity.

The launch area and categories are confirmed with you, Michelle, before publishing begins — never assumed.

Proposed platform roles

Instagram and Facebook

Core publishing and community awareness.

TikTok

Short demonstrations and sourcing examples.

LinkedIn

Supplier, business and partnership awareness.

Other platforms

We reserve agreed handles where possible; routine publishing is not included.

Registrations, buyer requests and relevant supplier responses matter more than follower totals alone. Followers are tracked because platforms report them easily — but the numbers that build the marketplace are people registering, posting and responding.

Your action plan

A roadmap you can run yourself

Every task below tells you what to do, how to do it, how often and what a finished output looks like. Nothing here is padded to make the programme look bigger.

Weeks 1–3 — Prepare

1

Choose the launch focus.

How
List areas and categories where you can recruit relevant suppliers.
How often
Review at weeks 4 and 8.
Output
A short launch-focus statement.
2

Record starting figures.

How
Record existing followers, supplier registrations, buyer requests and available website traffic, with dates and measurement periods.
How often
Update weekly.
Output
A starting-point sheet. Unavailable data is shown as “Not available”.
3

Test the customer journey.

How
Check registration, posting requests, responding, contact routes and relevant notifications.
How often
Once, before publishing starts.
Output
A readiness checklist. Marketing must reflect working features.
4

Set up official accounts.

How
Use business-controlled email, consistent descriptions and artwork, secure recovery and delegated access.
How often
Once.
Output
Connected accounts owned by you.
5

Create reusable designs.

How
Prepare request cards, explainers, supplier spotlights, tips and Stories.
How often
Build once, reuse often.
Output
Reusable branded templates.
6

Build supplier and group lists.

How
Identify at least 30 relevant suppliers and 20 relevant local groups. Record contact routes, relevance and group rules.
How often
Build in week 2-3, keep updated.
Output
Supplier and group lists.
7

Approach suppliers individually.

How
Explain the service, why they fit and the actual current joining offer. Record messages and replies. Avoid mass-message blasts.
How often
A manageable number per week.
Output
A supplier approach tracker.
8

Create a four-week calendar.

How
Include audience, topic, format, platform, action link, publication date and status.
How often
Review weekly.
Output
A working publishing calendar.

Weeks 4–7 — Publish

Five content themes

  • Requests and sourcing examples.
  • How the platform works.
  • Helpful supplier information.
  • Local needs, events and checklists.
  • Founder updates and honest progress.

“A request card is a simple graphic showing what someone needs, the broad area and relevant requirements.”

Real requests require permission and removal of private details. Demonstrations must say “Illustrative example”. Never present invented demand as a live request.

Weeks 8–12 — Improve

  • Compare the posts that generate useful clicks, registrations and requests.
  • Repeat the effective formats, adjust the weaker ones and approach relevant partners.
  • Consider paid advertising only when the customer journey, tracking and approved budget are ready.
  • Finish with results and decisions about what to continue, change or stop.

Practical examples

What the content actually looks like

Illustrative example — not a live request

A buyer post

“Planning a celebration and need tables and chairs in your area?”

  1. Create a request card.
  2. Record the actual request process using a demonstration account.
  3. Remove private information.
  4. Explain that responses depend on supplier participation and availability.
  5. End with “Post what you need”.
  6. Link to the verified live request page.
  7. Review results after seven days.

No content ever promises guaranteed quotes, savings or responses.

A supplier message

“Hello [business name], I’m Michelle, founder of Source It Here. We are building a platform where buyers post what they need and relevant suppliers can respond.

We are focusing on [agreed area/category], and your business looks relevant. Would you like information about creating a supplier profile?”

Any claim about free plans is verified before it is included in any message.

An explainer carousel

1Describe what you need.
2Add relevant details.
3Publish your request.
4Review responses, if received.
5Compare options and choose.

Each step uses the actual Source It Here platform workflow, so the explainer matches reality exactly.

Weekly routine

A routine you can save

This is the shape of a publishing week during weeks 4–12. Adaptations are placements of content you already have, not additional original videos — which is what keeps this manageable.

Monday

Review results and update the calendar.

Production sessions

Create three short vertical videos and one carousel.

Publishing

Instagram: two videos and one carousel weekly. Facebook: adapt the same two videos and carousel. TikTok: three videos weekly. LinkedIn: one business or supplier post weekly. Instagram Stories: four days weekly.

Five working days

Check comments and messages.

Weekly

Contribute to two permitted local-group discussions. Continue supplier and partner follow-up. Record results and one lesson for the next week.

There is no fixed workload estimate here, because estimates that guess usually mislead. Time your first production session, then build a routine around your real pace.

Weekly checklist

  • Calendar reviewed and updated
  • 3 vertical videos created
  • 1 carousel created
  • Instagram: 2 videos + 1 carousel published
  • Facebook adaptations published
  • TikTok: 3 videos published
  • LinkedIn: 1 post published
  • Stories published on 4 days
  • Comments and messages checked each working day
  • 2 local-group contributions (where permitted)
  • Supplier and partner follow-up sent
  • Results and one lesson recorded

Week: ____________    Lesson for next week: ______________________________________

Week-3 soft-launch placements: six. Total planned feed placements: 96. Stories and group contributions are separate. These are placements of content within the programme, not 96 original pieces.

Community support

Five working days weekly during weeks 4–12: monitor agreed comments and messages, aim to answer at least 95% of eligible genuine enquiries within one working day, escalate complaints, suspected scams and sensitive matters, and record common questions.

Exclusions (spam, or enquiries requiring information only you hold) are recorded and agreed with you, as are working hours and holiday coverage. This is social community support, not complete marketplace customer-service management.

Partnerships

  • Ten potential partners or creators shortlisted.
  • Ten personalised approaches by week 10.
  • Follow-up and tracker.
  • Target three to five relevant partnerships, without guaranteeing agreements.

Creator fees and paid collaborations require separate approval.

Optional advertising (weeks 9–12, subject to readiness)

  • One Meta test plan.
  • Supplier and buyer campaign themes.
  • Up to three creative variations per theme, using included content.
  • Setup, monitoring and results summary.

Suggested advertising budget: £150–£300 total, paid separately by you. Written spending approval and agreed pause rules are required before any advertising runs.

Reports and completion

  • Baseline report by end of week 1.
  • Nine weekly snapshots in weeks 4–12.
  • Reports at weeks 4, 8 and 12.
  • Week-8 review.

  • Next-quarter roadmap.
  • Assets, available editable templates, calendar and account-access handover.
  • One final online project review, up to 60 minutes — the completion meeting, included in the paid programme.

Optional short progress check-ins may be agreed during the paid project. Where participation requires your personal profile, we provide drafts for you to publish — we never impersonate you or request your password.

What we track

  • Delivery against schedule.
  • Response times.
  • Views, shares and saves by platform.
  • Relevant supplier responses where accessible.
  • Verified completed matches where available.
  • Paid and organic results reported separately.

Clicks, sessions and registrations are never added up as unique people. We do not attribute all platform activity to social. Tracking limitations and consent-related gaps are explained in every report. New website tracking features are separate development dependencies unless expressly included.
